On on a continuing basis the Water Department Strives to provide the  community with the best quality water around.  Every day we are working to ensure that residents have an exemplarily level of reliability.

Current Water Rates

Minimum

$4.91  first 3 units minimum usage        (2,250 gallons)


Used for salaries, insurance, distribution o&m, plant o&m, service leaks, water main leaks, vehicle repairs, etc.   
      

     
Usage    $1.95  per unit is charged after the first 3 units Used for salaries, insurance, distribution o&m, plant o&m, service leaks, water main leaks, vehicle repairs, etc.
 
     
Debt     $6.15

Debt incurred water quality improvements

Used for 1991 plant improvement to improve water quality: filter upgrade, additional shallow well, reservoir with and aeration system and booster pump.

2001 plant improvement with additional filter and storage reserves and office area.
 

     
Capital  $2.40

capital improvements

Used for upgrading and improving water mains, plant equipment, water towers, hydrants, etc.
 

     

Rate increase for the next fiscal years

2007-2008

Minimum   $5.17    additional 26¢
Usage      $2.05  additional 10¢

2008-2009

 Minimum  $5.43  additional 26¢
Usage    $2.15   additional 10¢

Water Quality Report for 2006 now available.

 
Every year the Department submits a report to the public regarding the quality of the water that we provide to them at their homes and businesses.  Please direct any questions regarding this report to the Water department at (815) 622-1120 or email the Water Superintendent Ted Padilla directly with any questions you may have.
