Blackhawk Hills Economic Development District The mission of the Blackhawk Hills EDD is to develop and implement a regional Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) that will enhance job opportunities and improve the quality of life for local communities in Northwestern Illinois.

Rock Falls Community Development Corporation  This website is the internet address to one of the City's most important partner organization.  They are tasked with Economic Development in the community in addition to the City staff.

Municipal Organizations

American Public Power Association APPA is the service organization for the nation's more than 2,000 not-for-profit electric utilities that are locally owned and operated by the people they serve.

Illinois Municipal Broadband Communications Association A non-for-profit association for Illinois municipalities and others interested in sharing information and resources about broadband services.

Illinois Municipal Electric Agency IMEA's primary function is to provide wholesale electricity to its members, which they re-sell on the retail market. IMEA also sells power to other qualified utilities. Of its 40 members, 30 purchase wholesale electricity from the Agency while 10 are non-purchasing members. The IMEA's goal is to keep the members power costs low and to insulate them from the high prices that are increasingly common in the short-term power market.
