The City of Rock Falls provides a range of services which contribute to the quality of life enjoyed by all who live, work or visit. The electric, water and sewer utilities, along with the streets department make up the public utilities department. Other city departments include fire and police. Solid Waste Services The Wastewater Facility and Sewer Department maintains and operates the Wastewater Treatment Facility, wastewater pump station facilities, wastewater/storm water collection lines, and all manholes in the city sewer system. The Electric Department provides energy service to Rock Falls residents and businesses. The Streets Department is responsible for constructing and maintaining city streets, sidewalks, and storm drains. The Water Department maintains, operates and delivers the city's drinking water. The Building Department is responsible for providing permits to residents and businesses in the city. |
